Xcel Energy Plans Public Safety Power Shutoffs For Tuesday, Area Within Lefors City Limits Not Included

The City has been in close contact with Xcel regarding the planned Public Safety Power Shut Offs (PSPS). At this time, areas within the City proper will remained energized, but there are PSPS planned for areas outside of the city limits. There is also the potential for outages that could last longer than normal due to weather conditions and the extreme high winds being forecasted.
Due to the high fire danger tomorrow and Wednesday, please use extreme caution and report smoke as soon as you see it. Any fire that start will spread rapidly. We will update you as we hear new information.
